Mystery of God

#641 #sundayworship #orthodoxchurch There was a strong sense of the #mysteryofgod in this service – it was beautiful and so confusing at the same time. It is good to be taken out of #comfortzones every now and again.

Beauty of friendship

#640 #threeoldfriends #threeteacups and plenty of cakes! The beauty of relationships which never change…true friendship is measured not by time spent together, but by the strength of the bond when they are there.

Darkness into light

#639 “You, O Lord, are my lamp; you turn our darkness into light.” The #light and #peace of Jesus be with you.

Compline

#638 #compline with #ssfdailyoffice – Finding rhythm in new ways.

Transitions

#637 #transitions from #blossom to #bloom

God’s Ministry

#636 #ministry – Is it mine or ours or God’s? Like the water rippling in this brook, each drop contributes to the water of the whole, which feeds into the #riverthames and eventually the North Sea – that’s the big picture that each drop is part of, created and sustained by God…#godsministry?

Final Term

#635 And so the #finalterm of #theologicalcollege begins…#mixedfeelings

You can never have too many books

DSC_0065.jpg

#634 As my stack of recommended books gets slightly out of control, I wonder whether it might be possible to have too many books…and yet Terry Waite’s Taken on Trust has convinced me otherwise as he recounts his #desperation to read during his time as a hostage. In books there is #escapism, #knowledge and #story, all of which encourage us to grow. What is your #bestbookever?

Democracy

#633 When the democratic right to vote was only available to men, many campaigned for years to ensure the #voices of #women would be heard, and the true meaning of #democracy realised. Which voices are #silenced today and how does that fail to influence government or party policy?
