Wheel of life

#459 The #buddhist symbol of a #wheel reminds us that life goes on and there is nothing new…I find that idea both comforting and depressing. My #prayer is that we all bring something #unique and #new to God’s awesome creation.

Serving

#458 #guestnight at college! Why is it more difficult to #beserved than to #serve?

Story

#457 What do you see when you look at this fairly odd looking stump? #ugliness #starkness #vulnerability #sacrifice #potential #newlife A picture tells a thousand stories!

Just being

#456 This week after a meeting with my #spiritualdirector I’ve been faced with my own eagerness to make plans for the future…and failure to be present in the here and now or to be satisfied. This #impatience is perhaps one of the most challenging aspects of my character to face through #formation. It is something which I’ve always struggled with. The future is very much unknown, out of focus. It will be what it will be regardless of what I plan or hope…It’s in God’s hands. I understand all of that, but how do we change #lifetimehabits?

Joy in the journey

#455 I love this photograph. Where these #birds have come from, and where they might go is unknown, but the #enthusiasm with which they #dance around the shore is a reminder to #findjoyinthejourney!

Assurance

#454 God’s #power and #magnificence is mirrored in #creation. I’m not sure I’ll ever grow tired of the waves crashing and the #assurance that brings.

Grazing

#453 #coutrywalk #grazinginthefield #friendlycows #lovelyevening

Weekend off!

#452 #restandrelax in a #beautifullocation. #welcome #sunset

Rubbish?

#451 One persons rubbish is another’s #treasure. It always amazes me how differently people might view the same thing, where some see it very positively and others negatively. There ismore than one way of seeing something, so should we be looking more carefully for the alternative potential of that which we are quick to discard? #cherish
